You are about to employ an agent to sell what is probably your largest asset. You could be about to pay them thousands of dollars. If you were going to spend thousands of dollars on say, a new fridge, would you expect some sort of guarantee with it? Why not with your real estate agent?
Yet most agents will sign you up on their standard listing agreement for as long as possible (often 3 months or more), then if you are not happy with their service - too bad - you are stuck with them until the agency expires.
